This was reinforced by the 2006 Census that reported that in large metropolitan centres like Vancouver and Toronto, 42% and 43% respectively of the population were visible minorities — led by Chinese and South Asian communities. And more importantly, this growth trend towards multicultural markets is expected to go unabated.

Hamazaki Wong helped launch Coast Capital Savings into the multicultural markets putting the client on the financial services shopping list of Chinese and South Asian customers. To do this, Hamazaki Wong took a creative approach to these markets that was keeping with the established Coast Capital Savings brand while customized for the cultural sensibilities of each cultural group.

From naming to television to radio to print to web and below-the-line assignments, Hamazaki Wong partnered with Coast Capital Savings to create a body of work that delighted both the Chinese and South Asian markets — and resulted in the TV spots going viral on the web!
