While philanthropy is a common concept in North American culture, it’s still new to the Canadian-Chinese community. Through its ongoing collaboration with the BC Cancer Foundation, Hamazaki Wong is changing that dynamic. In a recent project, Hamazaki Wong created communications material to help BC Cancer highlight an artistic project to beautify waiting rooms.

The communications material showcased the significance of the artistic collaboration and BC Cancer’s dedication to its patients. Hamazaki Wong used a bilingual approach where the English and Chinese languages complemented each other. The BC Cancer Foundation took this communications material to a home show event and successfully engaged with the participants, 75% of whom were from Chinese communities.
