FEAST, Asian Dining Festival — a multimedia and community engagement tour-de-force
FEAST Asian Dining Festival is Western Canada’s first celebration of Asian cuisine. Conceived, curated, and produced in partnership with Richmond News, Hamazaki Wong created an experience that took full advantage of the cultural asset that was hiding in plain sight: BC has the best Asian food in North America, led by the region’s diverse Chinese cuisines. Why didn’t anyone think of this before? As a feast for gourmands and a feature for restaurants, FEAST quickly became an institution in Richmond, BC, thanks to the multifarious efforts of Hamazaki Wong and the producing team. What we did for FEAST would be better expressed in the opposite: what did we not do? As an agency team, we did a lot! Here’s a partial list: sponsorship marketing, strategic, creative, social media (English and Chinese), media planning and buying (multi-lingual) including US media, influencer marketing, community engagement, media relations, event management and marketing, sales support, and more. Heck, we even produced an official FEAST beer! Essentially, we did what it took to ensure FEAST was a success bringing our talents, entrepreneurial prowess, and agency network to the table. And indeed it was a success! With millions of media impressions, strong community support and engagement, incredible partnerships, and excellent restaurant participation, the greatest metric is ultimately dining participation to which more than 20,000 enjoyed the fruits of our labours by attending FEAST! Indeed, it was a feast for all!
