Chinatown Legacy Stewardship Group

In 2019, Sonny Wong was appointed by the City of Vancouver to the Chinatown Legacy Stewardship Group where he co-sponsors the Culture & Heritage Working Group, along with serving as a member of the Small Business & Economic Development Working Group. Here, at a community forum called Chinatown Reimagined, he outlines a vision and unique plan — the Chinatown Cultural Trust — for the revitalization and future of Chinatown. Interestingly, Chinatowns throughout North America are facing the same problems and issues as Vancouver’s Chinatown. Could this be a clarion call for all of them?
